How it works

Two ways to send a postcard

Mix both, or lock into just one — adjustable any time in your settings.

Surprise mode

Send to a stranger

Ask for a random address and Cardzilla shows you several possible recipients — check their profile, then decide who to surprise. You're never locked into a single random match: you always choose.

Direct swap

Choose your swap

List your postcards, then browse and choose what you want back. No need to share a language — negotiation is mostly automated, and a built-in messenger handles anything unclear.

Welcome to Cardzilla!

Cardzilla is a place for exchanging real, physical postcards with people all over the world. These are not virtual or imaginary things. They are real postcards you can hold in your hands, written, stamped, and delivered through the mail.

Cardzilla works in two main modes:

1. Surprise postcards

You tell the site: “Give me a random address, I want to send a surprise postcard!”

Cardzilla shows you several possible recipients. You can check their profiles, see how active they are, what kinds of postcards they like, and choose who you want to send to. The big difference from similar sites is that you are not locked into a fully random match. You always get to choose.

You can also set the countries you are willing to send to. This can be one country, many countries, or the whole world. Based on your preferences, Cardzilla will suggest recipients only from those countries. Once you add your own mailing address, your profile can also be shown to other users, so surprise postcards will start coming your way too.

2. Direct swap

This is a one-to-one postcard exchange where everyone knows exactly what they send and what they receive in return. To do this, you upload your postcards to the public gallery and wait for swap offers. Or you can browse other users’ postcards, pick one you like, and start a direct swap yourself by offering something from your own collection.

The negotiation process is mostly automated. You do not need to speak the same language. Basic English is enough. Once both sides agree, Cardzilla sends the mailing addresses and a reminder of which postcard to send. After mailing, you can upload proof so the other person can see it. Cardzilla automatically tracks proofs and delivery status for every swap. If anything needs to be clarified, there is a built-in messenger.

To get started, just sign up. You can immediately browse the feed of delivered postcards and leave likes. Then you can add your country to unlock sending surprise postcards, fill in your mailing address to receive them, or upload at least one postcard to the gallery. More postcards mean more chances to swap.
