I'm Ron, a recent Zoology graduate living in Glasgow. I moved to Scotland in 2021, after living in Northern England for 4 years. I'm originally from a small town in eastern Poland.

I'm a big nature nerd, passionate about learning, monitoring and protecting the natural environment. I love being outdoors, birdwatching and looking for other creatures, and discovering new places. I have many different interests, including postal history, philately, pop culture, art and crafts, music, books, video games, films and TV. I also like to journal and scrapbook, cuddle with my cat Luna and browse Postcrossing of course. Occasionally, I like to visit museums and art galleries, historical places, go on hikes, and camping. I’m autistic and have ADHD, and tend to avoid loud and busy places. I’d love to travel more but I haven’t been able to for various reasons.

I'm a bird-ringer and a volunteer surveyor for several conservation NGOs. I love fieldwork and want to work in nature conservation, particularly marine and seabird conservation. Currently, I'm not working as I'm trying to recover from chronic stress and improve my mental health.

- view cards from cities/towns/villages etc (I prefer single views to multiviews)
- UNESCO WHS (also tentative) and geoparks
- birds (I’d love to have a photo postcard of every species!)
- other animals (i’m a big fan of insects!)
- national parks, reserves and protected areas
- islands
- illustrations by local artists
- postal issued maxicards like in Australia and Belarus, and other cards like PHQs
- significant/unique buildings in your area/country; i love old architectural styles but i can also appreciate modern designs!
- illustrated maps
- marine life, sea and oceans, lighthouses, coasts
- Lantern Press and Anderson Design Group
- cartoons I watched as a child growing up in Poland in the late 90s and early 2000s, e.g. Krtek, Bolek and Lolek, Reksio, Moomins, Rumcajs, Koziołek Matołek, Maya the Honey Bee (1975); Večerníček/Wieczorynka cartooons
