Hello from Texas! My name is Lara, and I’m a wife, teacher, mom of three, and lifelong learner. I was born in Germany (military) and speak English and German and love discovering the world one postcard at a time.

Some of my favorite things are reading, nature, photography, gardening, hiking, journaling, coffee, baking, and learning about other cultures. I especially enjoy visiting national parks, traveling, local traditions, and Renaissance fairs. I love imagining what life was like in the past and can’t resist a good time travel story or “what if?” historical adventure.

One of my favorite things about this is getting to know people from around the world. I love hearing people’s stories, learning from their experiences, and discovering the little things that bring them joy. Whether it’s your favorite local tradition, a hobby you enjoy, or an ordinary day in your life, I’d love to hear about it.

I love receiving postcards that show everyday life, beautiful landscapes, wildlife, historic places, local art, or interesting architecture. I love local art, art reminiscent of vintage childhood picture books, folk art, and I’ll always accept anything with cute whimsical art. I also enjoy hearing about your favorite place in your town, what the weather is like, or something unique about your country.

- I love imagining the untold stories of ordinary people who might have witnessed the events of Scripture, weaving together historical context, cultural traditions, and the world they would have known.

- Believing every person has a valuable story to tell.

I love the redwood forests - and I loved traveling through the Rocky Mountains. I am a true American - with ancestry form all over the world, but mostly come from those who traveled to the Americas from Norway, Sweden, Ireland, England, and Germany.

I very much long to go to the Island of Sylt.

I am currently attempting to write a fantasy novel based on the song Jingle Bells (weird, I know)

I love to collect stories. I love meeting people, I love hearing about their lives.
