My name is Mariia. I am originally from Ukraine and now I live in Cottbus, a small city in eastern Germany near the beautiful Spreewald nature area. The city is known for its parks, its Sorbian culture and traditions.
I am a student at a Berufsschule and I study design. Creativity has always been a part of my life — since childhood I loved drawing and doing creative things.
I speak Ukrainian and Russian as my native languages. I am currently learning German (because I live here) and a little English… although English is still a challenge for me sometimes :)
One of my hobbies is Ukrainian folk dancing. I also enjoy creative activities and collecting postcards from cities I have visited. For me, postcards are like small memories you can keep in your hands.
I love animals — I have a cat at home. Sometimes, especially on sunny days, I suddenly think how good it is just to be alive. Those little moments make me smile.
I also really enjoy reading stories that people write online on forums. And I love the K-pop music industry.
I will be happy to receive any postcards, but I especially like cards that show the personality of the person who sends them. If you want, you can tell me about your daily life, traditions in your country, or what people usually do during holidays. I would also be happy to receive postcards with dragons. 🐉
My dream is to travel and see many different places in the world. Through postcards I can already explore small pieces of the world and learn how people live in other countries.
