Welcome!

This site is made for exchanging postcards with people from all over the world. Just for fun, for no reason, just to make the world a little kinder, to surprise a stranger somewhere on the other side of the Earth. And then, at the most unexpected moment, find a surprise in your own mailbox.

A postcard sent to a random person can be the beginning of a long friendship, allow you to find a person with similar interests in a distant land or on the next street, and maybe even find a life partner!

But surprises are different, some are more pleasing than others, so here you will find special tools that will make the exchange more enjoyable, convenient and predictable. For example, the ability to limit the list of countries to which you are ready to send your postcards and from where you agree to receive them. Or the ability to see in advance what the potential recipient of your postcard likes.

How It Works

Any time you feel like it, you can click the “Select a recipient for a new postcard” button. The site will then show you a few potential recipients. You can browse each person’s public profile, choose one, and you’ll receive their full mailing address. That’s where you send your postcard. At the same time, someone else will receive your address and send a postcard to you. The more postcards you send, the more you’ll receive!

To join the exchange, you’ll need an invite from an existing member. If none of your friends are part of the project yet, you can find new ones through our Instagram community. You’ll also need a valid email address to register.

During sign-up, you’ll choose a unique username. Choose carefully, it can’t be changed later! Your username will also be used in your public profile URL, like this

After registering, you’ll receive an email asking you to confirm your email address. Just click the link in that message, and once confirmed, new features will become available to you.

Important Profile Settings

There are a few important settings you’ll want to check:

• Real Name: Can be shown publicly or kept private (visible only to people who will send you postcards).
• Email: Not changeable. Used to notify you about important updates, like postcard deliveries.
• About: A free-text field where you can share things about yourself: your interests, what kind of postcards you’d love to receive, and what people might write on them.
• Languages: A list of languages you understand. This helps others write their message in a language you can read. If there’s no overlap, English is the fallback or just a drawing works too!
• Country: Where you live and where your postcards will be sent from and delivered to.
• Address: Your full mailing address. Until you fill this out, you’ll only be able to send postcards, not receive them. Be very careful here: if your address is unclear or incorrect, the postcard might never reach you. Once you enter or change your address, it will be reviewed by moderators. Only after it's approved will other users be able to send you postcards.
• Registration Date: Automatically filled in.
• Birthday: Optional. Shows your age to others.
• Countries for Incoming Postcards: Choose which countries you’re open to receiving postcards from. You can allow all, or select only some, only users from those countries will see your address.
• Countries for Outgoing Postcards: A list of countries you’re willing to send postcards to. You can allow all, just your own country, a specific region, or a custom selection. The site will only suggest users from the countries you’ve selected.
• Invites: You can invite new users by creating invite links. For example, one link for your Instagram bio, another for your Facebook page. You’ll see how many users have signed up through each invite and how many postcards they’ve sent. You can also temporarily disable or re-enable them, or delete them completely.

This is where you’ll see all postcards that were successfully delivered and have an image uploaded by the sender or receiver. You can “like” postcards to show appreciation; other users will see what you enjoy and might use that as inspiration when sending you cards.

Time to Send Your First Postcard!

Here you’ll find all your postcards, sorted into three sections:

• Traveling: Cards you’ve sent that haven’t been delivered yet. Don’t forget to take a photo of the front of your postcard before mailing it! You can upload this image while the postcard is still in transit, it’ll be shown on the postcard page once it's registered.
• Registered: Cards you’ve sent that have already been received and registered.
• Received: Cards that you’ve received from others.

You’ll also see two important buttons here:

• “Select a recipient for a new postcard”. Click to see a selection of users. You can view their profiles, see their sent and received cards, what they’ve liked, and read their About sections. This helps you make a thoughtful choice about whom to send your card to. Once you’ve decided, the site will show you their mailing address and your postcard’s tracking number. Make sure to write this number clearly on the card! Without it, the recipient won’t be able to register it!
• “Register a postcard”. When you receive a card, go to the registration page, enter the full tracking number written on the postcard. If possible, upload a photo of the front side, you won’t be able to do this later.

Want to Receive More Postcards?

If you’ve been sending and receiving postcards but wish it happened more often, good news: there are a few ways to increase your activity.

The most effective approach is to keep sending more postcards. Every card you send keeps the system moving and increases your chances of getting one back. The more active you are, the more visible you become to others.

Next, review your profile settings, especially your list of countries you're willing to receive postcards from. If the list is too limited, fewer users will see your address. Try broadening it to include more countries or entire regions.

You can also help grow the community: invite new users, especially from underrepresented countries. That way, you’re not only boosting your own chances, you’re making the whole network more vibrant.

And don’t forget to check the postcard feed regularly and like the ones you enjoy. Your likes help others understand what kinds of cards you appreciate, which makes it easier for them to pick or create something special for you.
