You decide your own budget!

Sending postcards isn’t just about time, it costs a little money too. Using Cardzilla is totally free, but you’ll need to buy postcards and stamps yourself. Postcards can cost anywhere from about 50 cents to 3 dollars each, depending on where you buy them, the size, and the material.

Watch out for postcards made of thin paper. They might get damaged or lost on the way. If you want sturdy postcards that ship worldwide, check out Postcards.EE, they have a great selection.

Besides postcards, you’ll need stamps from your own country. These are needed to mail your cards. Usually, postal services sell different stamps for sending mail inside your country or abroad.

To save some money, you can choose which countries you want to send postcards to. You can even limit it to just your own country if you want. Stamps usually cost somewhere between 20 cents and 3 dollars per postcard, depending on where it’s going.

For example, in Portugal there are three different postage rates for postcards. As of August 2025, it costs €0.69 to send within Portugal, €1.21 to another European country, and €1.33 to the rest of the world. In comparison, sending a postcard within Estonia costs €1.50, and €3.50 to anywhere else. In the United States, it costs $0.61 to send a postcard within the country and $1.70 to send one anywhere else in the world.
